# Referral Program

Simply set referrals in your control panel settings and set the rate.
Your members can generate a referral link by typing /**refer** \

When they refer someone, they will get a **ONE TIME (OR RECURRING) ACCOUNT CREDIT** that you set for each paying member they refer to your server of the LESSER amount of roles purchased. **Referrals are CREDITED in the form of a REFUND AGAINST THEIR PURCHASE at the moment of purchase.**

If you set the recurring referral feature, that means the original referring member will get an account credit against their subscription every billing cycle that the person the referred stays subscribed to your service.
The **ONLY** way someone can get credit is by a refund to their original payment method that they used to purchase the role. The role/payment must be active and in good standing. **THEY MUST BE AN ACTIVE CUSTOMER TO GET PAID THE REFERRAL CREDIT AGAINST THEIR ORIGINAL PAYMENT METHOD FOR A REFUND.**

People are invited to **YOUR SERVER** as soon as they make a successful purchase.

Users who are not paid members of your service **CAN** still refer others and be tracked by simply typing /**refer** in your server and generating their link in your server. They will need to be paid out Manually if they are not a current customer.

Users who have a status ACTIVE or CANCELLING can still get refund credits for their referrals against their purchases until they no longer have an active subscription.

It **doesn't matter when** someone purchased a role **or what type of role they purchased** (recurring or one time), if they refer someone they **can still get credit** for the referral.

The referral amount paid is the % of the **FINAL AMOUNT PAID** at the time of checkout. This means if a coupon was applied, only the **AMOUNT CHARGED** is what the % refund will be.

**Account Credits are issued in the form of REFUNDS for the current/previous billing cycle.**

The max someone can be credited is **100% OF THEIR BILL FOR THE CYCLE.** Nothing over that. \
The system will track referrals over 100% of what they paid, however if you wanted to pay them for referrals after they have already earned a full credit, you will need to pay manually.

## **Charges**
You can see in the referral charges the exact details of each credit and referral.
## Credit Potential
Credit potential is the maximum possible credit for a single referral.
Displayed credit potential denoted by (P) is for the referred customer's purchase price, while (R) is for the referrer's purchase price.
## Referrer Credited
Credited is the amount credited for a single referral.
Usually is the store's referrals rate applied to the **lower amount of either** the referred customer's purchase price **or** referrer's partially refunded order's purchase price.
Also may be lower than expected if referrer did not have a refundable order able to absorb the entirety of the calculated credit.
**Does not include** any manual payouts or refunds the store may issue to referrers as part of a custom referral program.
